What will I be doing?

As Director of Sales and Marketing at The DoubleTree Complex Orlando you will be responsible for leading and directing the development and implementation of strategic sales plans and initiatives in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hotel sales experience including leadership and various market segments. This person will be a hands-on team player with excellent written and oral communication skills comfortable developing a team and meeting with and presenting to owners. Hotels included in this complex are the Doubletree Orlando Disney World and the Embassy Suites on International Drive.

Requirements:

Hotel Sales Leadership Experience of 3 + years

Hotel S ales Citywide experience

Social Media Management skills

Assets:

Hilton experience

FDC knowledge

Local market knowledge

You would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Lead and direct the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans and initiatives to include, but not limited to, interacting with guests and owners, directing solicitation efforts, securing business, operating information management systems, preparing and presenting statistical and performance reports, and managing financial aspects of the operation.
• Partner with the Revenue Management team to include, but not limited to, determining sales pricing strategies, developing rates, establishing market segment thresholds, determining space utilization policy, deploying competitive data strategies, conducting demand analysis, and managing market mix.
• Utilize and apply technology and systems effectively
• Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, conducting counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognitions and rewards.
• Recruit, interview, and train team members.
• Participate in ownership meetings.
