Sr Analyst - Finance



Cleveland-Cliffs is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America. The company is vertically integrated from mining through iron making, steelmaking, rolling, finishing and downstream with hot and cold stamping of steel parts and components.

Analysts ensure that all elements in the Finance Department are aligned and integrated, and provide timely, consistent delivery of services to stakeholders.



Responsibilities


  • Monthly product cost calculations and inventory reconciliations for raw materials and finished goods.

  • Financial statement preparation and analysis.

  • Forecasting and budgeting.

  • Physical inventory reconciliations.

  • Reconciliation of raw material receipts.

  • Create, manage and complete special projects:

    • Quarterly and annual government reports

    • Multiple sales reports for forecasting, audits, inventory control.

    • Other projects as assigned by plant controller.



  • Work with operating departments in developing and implementing process or mill improvements

  • Work safely and assure plant safety policies are followed


Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in finance / accounting or other business-related field

  • 1-2 years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent problem solving, and organizational skills

  • Good troubleshooting and team building skills


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Preferred Requirements


  • 3-5 years accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment
