Job Overview

The University Relations Manager will play a key role in TE Connectivity's Talent Attraction strategy by leading our program which attracts students and early talent to our organization.

This role will be responsible for a scalable and rich University Relations Program, which includes the recruitment and onboarding process, as well as the summer internship cycle and co-op rotations. This role will also leverage existing and new partnerships with universities to attract early talent into long term careers with TE.

You and your team (Specialist and RPO) will facilitate summer long programs and ensure an exceptional experience for talent. This will be accomplished by developing a demand planning process, cultivate and evaluate strategic relationships with partner universities, support our inclusive and diverse culture, proactively identify process gaps and opportunities with our Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) partner, and enable high-touch onboarding process. This role has an opportunity to make a significant impact on the business. Success measures for this position will be directly tied to intern/new-hire experience, diversity, conversion rates, and ROI.

  • Create, executive and manage an annual demand planning process, which includes timelines, milestones, scorecard, and frequent communication to stakeholders

  • Early Talent Diversity Recruiting Strategy, where we continually improve our outreach and attraction

  • Scalable framework of University Relations resources that support current and future business needs

  • Proactive identification of trends, and action plans to respond positioning TE Connectivity as a progressive employer of choice

  • High degree of data orientation, specifically in ROI, processes, and in evaluating the success rate of university partnerships

  • Influence our business and recommend where we have opportunity to best leverage university talent

What your background should look like:

The University Relations Manager must have experience identifying and designing effective talent attraction practices and early talent programs that delivery strong talent to our business. Including:


  • Prior management of a university relations program, specifically where engineering and supply chain have been a focus

  • Vendor Management: Experience in project/program management of vendors in talent acquisition space

  • Understands the overall hiring process and keys to effective candidate experience

  • Partnership with an RPO provider, OR willingness to closely partner and ensure our success

  • Extensive use of tracking and reporting tools such as applicant tracking tools, recruitment systems and Microsoft Excel.

  • A passion and energy to tell employer stories derived from new products, people, and opportunities

  • Understands what it takes to run a successful university relations campaigns, including focused targeting, messaging and how to communicate results

  • Defines, develops and provides ongoing results metrics and ROI measures for university strategies including advertising, information sessions, on-campus networking, university champions, sponsorships

  • Effectively works, interacts, manages, and consults with recruiting managers

  • Proven ability to influence others and lead organizational change

  • Must possess strong business acumen understand Technology, Industrial, and Manufacturing industries


Required Qualifications


  • Highly collaborative, energetic, inspirational and an excellent ability to build consensus and drive momentum forward in a matrixed environment

  • 4 Year College Degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing or other related discipline

  • 3+ Years Related University Relations (Recruiting) experience in a corporate environment

  • 5+ Years Total Experience

COMPENSATION
*Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $90,800- 136,200(subject to change dependent on physical location)
*Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
*Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
