Reports to Manager/Director Radiology. Performs Radiology procedures and examinations according to physician's orders, department policies, and procedures. Assumes responsibility for schedule management and patient flow. Explains the steps of the imaging procedure to the patient.

Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of an Associate's Degree or Professional Training. ARRT or ARRT eligible, Indiana State license, and CPR certification required. A minimum of one to two years of job-related experience is preferred. The associate must work regularly scheduled hours and perform work in more than one modality on a regular basis. The associate must also be registered in the modality of their primary job code.
Knowledge & Skills
Must possess excellent Imaging skills in regards to positioning, technique, film critique and department protocols.
Must have computer knowledge of all systems used within the two modalities worked.
Familiarity with the imaging equipment in the two modalities worked.
Extensive knowledge of a functioning Radiology Department.
Must have knowledge of radiation protection and understand and utilize the methods to protect patients, self and staff.
Must pass ARRT and advanced certification in both work areas within 6 months of eligibility to maintain this position.
Employees must be available to work occasional mandatory overtime a condition of their employment.
Must be able to take call and arrive at Elkhart General Hospital within 30 minutes of being called in.
Requires the physical ability and stamina (i.e. to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time, push carts/wheelchairs up to 50 pounds, to position/lift patients at a maximum of 35 pounds unassisted, over 35 pounds requires assistance, provide CPR, etc.) to perform the essential functions of the position.
