The NAM Senior Demand Planner is an integral part Commercial Operations team. S/he will work cross functionally to create the optimum demand plan to achieve the mission of "right product, right place, right time". This role will work closely with the Finance Controllers as part of the revenue forecasting process and use the Revenue Forecast (RF) as a guiding input to the demand plan. Working with sales and sales leadership, convert the revenue forecast into a Collaborative Sales Forecast (sku level detail) to be submitted to supply planning. Analyze run rates, statistical baselines, and provide project level inputs to the plan.

The highly successful Demand Planner does not stop at forecast submission, but also understands the market, details of the how the products behave in a given market condition, as well as inventory levels and inventory projections. This role is challenged to be a key communicator between sales, operations, and supply chain to influence actions that deliver high levels of product availability to serve our customers.

Demand Planners are constantly forward looking and self-motivated to reach across organizations to gather as much information as possible about large sales opportunities, sales targets, and market trends to create the most accurate forecast possible and adjust as necessary.

Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with sales to identify and forecast sales opportunities
  • Use bridge front office (bFO) to identify opportunities
  • Participate in the RF Planning process with finance, business development and sales leaders
  • Collaborate with Supply planning to coordinate the demand and supply plan to achieve optimum inventory levels.
  • Define and submit the sku level forecast in Kinaxis
  • Collaborate with the LOB and BDM team to manage product introductions and withdrawals
  • Lead and/or participate on continuous improvement projects within the Commercial Operations team scope which could include:

    • Sales enablement projects
    • Order management, supply chain and commercial team alignment projects

  • Become and expert on commercial operations processes cross functionally and be able to identify recommend improvement projects/opportunities
  • Communicate in a commercial team friendly way the status of product lead times, forecast accuracy, other issues related to achieving our revenue forecas
