Senior Marketing Manager

Job Description Summary

The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for Business Development Marketing for the New York City office. Daily responsibilities include overseeing the structure, process and work product as well as leading the strategy and process for business development pursuits.


This position will require a strong writing, editing and proofreading background, as well as a significant knowledge of AP style. The role will oversee the marketing team's pitch and proposal strategy, and the person will serve as a project manager who works with designers to create and develop materials as needed.

Job Description




Responsibilities:



  • Lead and manage business development process from commencement to material completion, interfacing directly with leadership and fee earners throughout the process

  • Lead strategy sessions, writing of content and edits/updates on proposals and presentations

  • Conduct due diligence on client to develop client-centric proposal and presentation materials

  • Deliver final, clean pitch and/or presentation content

  • Ensure best practice sharing and adoption across pitch and/or proposal collateral

  • Ensure development of agreed-upon expectations, timelines and project milestones with project team at project outset, and ensure management of those expectation, timelines and milestones throughout the process

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the market, including key trends, client needs & wants, competitive analysis, etc.




Leadership / Management Accountabilities:



  • Manage a midsize team



  • Coordinate with business leaders to identify opportunities to improve processes/function/client service

  • Responsible for growth and development of direct reports

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the market, including key trends, competitive analysis, etc.

  • Use a set of robust and useful KPIs to analyze business development results




Qualifications:



  • 8+ years of experience

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred

  • Background B2B business development marketing, CRE preferred; professional services company required

  • Proven track record of leadership and staff management

  • Demonstrated willingness to coach and develop direct reports

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills

  • Experience serving as primary marketing leader for an office or revenue group

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Ability to interface with and communicate with clients
