Job Profile Summary

As the Strategic Planning Senior Advisor, your role is directly responsible for driving high visibility initiatives across the Evernorth Care Solutions business and for managing the overall investment portfolio across Care Solutions. You will partner closely across the Evernorth Care Solutions product teams to deliver on strategies that optimize growth across the company. Initiatives primarily focus on transitioning products and assets from legacy businesses into Evernorth and on helping to establish the product lines and new businesses in Evernorth. This position collaborates strategically and cross-functionally with leadership to develop project deliverables and success measures, ensuring project initiatives align to business strategy.

You will also manage the Care Solutions overall business investment portfolio, conducting on-going reviews and analyses of the organization's investments, tracking and reporting on the progress and initiatives across the portfolio, and ensuring business, finance and technology leadership understand the status and impacts of each. In addition, you will be responsible for utilizing reports and models to help drive the initiatives that drive high business growth and to assess the performance of the portfolio.

The role will collaborate with a wide array of cross-functional partners and their actions have significant impact on key business objectives. You create the opportunity to provide thought leadership and business expertise across multiple disciplines, and is intended to be recognized internally as "the go-to person" for the most complex strategic initiative assignments.

This position reports to the Managing Director of Strategic and Financial Solutions.

Essential functions

• Drive high visibility initiatives for the Evernorth Care Solutions business, working with product leads to transition and reposition assets from legacy businesses into Evernorth. Efforts include working with cross-functional teams to develop proposed legal and financial structures, such as legal entities and intercompany agreement, and to plan and drive talent transitions into Evernorth.


• Effectively liaise with cross functional teams, including but is not limited to, Product, Finance, Technology, and Strategic Execution Office teams, to plan projects, establish priorities, monitors progress, and deliver agreed upon outcomes.


• Manage the Care Solutions investment portfolio, including developing management reporting views to give leaders visibility into the progress of the investments and the corresponding P&L impact. Shepherd and monitor Care Solutions business investments and business cases through the respective processes across P&L's and enterprise governance teams.


• The Strategic Planning Senior Advisor will also support synthesizing data into clear and concise executive level presentations that succinctly cover high-level findings, conclusions, recommendations, and/or a call to action.


• Possess flexibility and agility to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to new assignments/responsibilities as the business matures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience


• 2+ years of experience in management consulting, strategic planning, or leading enterprise initiatives strongly preferred


• Experience in planning and leading high visibility, strategic initiatives; Strong planning and problem solving skills that enable quick identification and efficient resolution of issues


• Experience organizing and directing multiple cross-functional teams and departments


• Excellent communicator in written and verbal form at multiple levels of the organization


• Versatile, dedicated to efficient business productivity and processes


• Highly collaborative with the ability to influence peers and leaders and build strong professional relationships, especially in a highly matrixed organization


• Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize data into clear and concise executive level presentations

This role is WAH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
