This Counsel position will operate within the Wells Fargo Legal Department's Consumer Lending Division as a member of the Shared Services and Appraisal Support Team. The successful candidate will support Consumer Lending Shared Services policy development and governance, process resiliency, regulatory assessment, and analytics development activities.
This position will support the following Consumer Lending Shared Services functional areas:
Regulatory and Legal change implementation
Policy implementation and operational risk management
Business process management
Business continuity governance
Data and information management
Artificial intelligence management
Third party governance
5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney
Active State Bar membership
Ability to analyze legal and regulatory issues in area of practice and provide effective advice to clients on complex legal matters
Extensive experience conducting research and providing counsel and guidance regarding complex legal issues
Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work while handling multiple matters
Ability to work effectively in a complex environment with a high degree of collaboration
Effective in building partnerships, functioning well with project teams, and working for the success of the team
Other Desired Qualifications
Consumer lending experience
Familiarity with consumer lending regulations including Reg P and Information Security
Contract oversight with third party vendor experience
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
