These individuals are part of a structured program in Corporate Banking within CIB and begin on a defined "career path" to become a Relationship or Portfolio Manager.
Analysts function as part of a team, focused on helping our clients achieve their financial and strategic goals, by assisting Corporate Bankers with the preparation of marketing materials for Fortune 500 companies and middle-market clients.
Key CB Analyst 1 responsibilities include successful completion of all relevant training courses/modules in preparation of the program, preparing historical financial analysis and performing peer comparison analysis, performing comprehensive and in-depth market, industry and company research and analysis, preparing discussion materials for internal and external presentations, supporting the management of existing client relationships through the ongoing monitoring of industry trends, market activity, company news, financial statements, and performance, assisting with deal closing including regulatory and compliance requirements and completes periodic professional development training as scheduled.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
6+ months of experience in one or a combination of the following: financial analysis, credit analysis, relationship management, equity or venture capital investing; or a BS/BA degree or higher granted prior to hire date
Ability to achieve business results and willing to accept accountability for achieving goals
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
High level of initiative and accountability
Ability to act with integrity, good character and exercise sound judgment
Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
Knowledge and understanding of financial services credit risk management
A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
Securities industry experience including industry-specific coverage
Other Desired Qualifications
6 months+ of financial services industry experience a plus
