CAI is looking for a seasoned Subject Matter Expert (SME) to work Lead our clients efforts to ensure accuracy of client deliverables and deadlines. This position will be client-facing at times, and the person filling the role will be required to consult with internal stakeholders, as well as clients, on all aspects of digital accessibility.
Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee and manage digital accessibility projects
Act as liaison to Client Management teams who project manage client deliverables
Review internal processes and roll out improvements based on best practice recommendations
Stay on top of industry news and updates, including WCAG as it evolves
Review client-facing deliverables and provide accessible remediation solutions
Act as internal Accessibility Expert
Be a CAI Accessibility Expert on client-facing consulting calls
5+ years of experience with Accessibility testing, validating websites for WCAG 2.1 level A/AA compliance and Mobile Applications for WCAG Mobile Best Practices
5+ years using assistive tools for accessibility testing
Strong understanding of digital accessibility standards
Strong understanding of correct use and limitations of WAI-ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications)
Mobile testing experience (iOS, Android etc.)
Accessibility Training experience a plus
PDF Accessibility knowledge and/or experience a plus
