We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Sr. Process Engineer - Plastics to join our Central Process Engineering & Asset Management team and help us drive Operational Excellence throughout our facilities.
Organize, plan, and deliver Operational Efficiency Equipment (OEE) improvement projects
Drive network wide OEE improvements in conjunction with defining and implementing our best practices across the IM network.
Travel 50% /- to other facilities in the network, vendors, and customer locations.
Identify inefficient manufacturing processes and work to eliminate them in order to improve efficiency, sustainability, and maximize profitability.
Work with Engineering department (EPD) and the OEM’s to advance the technology while maintaining the existing equipment.
In collaboration with our project teams, create solutions and lead the development and implementation of new processes and/or procedures.
Work side-by-side with the management and engineering staff to discover inefficiencies in business processes and then determine the best ways to bring our business methods in line with our financial goals.
Develop and oversee a network team of subject matter experts (SME) across the network.
Working with the plants across the network, organize and provide training to improve and validate current and future skill sets.
Champion use of Scientific Injection Molding (SIM) principals and eDart® technology across the IM network.
Define improvement targets and track performance against base line.
Develop scope, timing, and cost for required training.
Develop matrix of current teams’ level of understanding vs. future state.
Implement and manage the defined training.
Build method to confirm effectiveness of the training.
Improve Operational Quality and Effectiveness.
Identify root cause and corrective actions for problems outside the normal production operating window.
Implement projects to improve safety, efficiency and reduce cost.
Support or lead inter-department interaction with Operations, Engineering, and Vendors in the resolution of issues.
Develop Engineering solutions to technical problems; provide production diagnostics support, troubleshoot, and drive continued process improvements, using functional teams as needed.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University in an Engineering field such as Plastics, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
Associate degree with a minimum of eight years’ experience in a similar position will be considered.
Working knowledge of IM molding platforms and related tooling.
Working knowledge of Scientific Injection Molding.
