This will be done through collaboration with the Regional Manager, peers, employees and cross-functional teams.
The Offering Manager for Honeywell Process Instruments will be responsible for leading the growth into underserved growth areas for the controller and recorder product portfolio, predominantly for process control, recording and monitoring in furnaces and ovens, boilers, heaters, environmental chambers, cookers, dryers, freezers applications. These responsibilities will include the identification of attractive but underserved areas for which Honeywell has good ability to serve, for which align to product growth strategies, the identification of and targeting of attractive platforms and customers within those segments, the cultivation of customer relationships (in concert with applicable Honeywell customer-facing groups) and the development of intelligent business models and pursuit strategies with high capture rates. This includes converting growth hypotheses into quantified areas of interest, validated by customer VOC, and developing the associated go-to-market plans. This role will lead controller and recorder products through initial product lifecycle, principally ideation-to-first-offerings, including collaboration/teaming plans, and partner teaming or integration approaches, and recommending augmenting product/company acquisition plans.
Key Responsibilities Accountable for profit & loss and balance sheet Drive product line planning and reporting Accountable for AOP and STRAP Lead change Develop credible underserved and adjacency growth hypotheses and strategies Validate hypotheses with customer and industry VOCs Defines value propositions based on customer needs analysis and incorporates into value proposition/go to market strategies Develop go-to-market approach(es) associated with the underserved and adjacent products Develop offering business model, defines price and cost strategies for winning business Defines an associated value stream (design, manufacturing, support) that is required and logical for the business case Provide inputs to M&A team for relevant portfolio changes to enable underserved/adjacent growth Fosters and cultivates key external-stakeholder relationships essential to adjacency growth plans Collaborates with the Customer Business Teams to perform product voice of the customer Develop core product and/or cost reduction strategies, if applicable, for these underserved products Establishes and ensures execution of internal and external funding plans required to make the go-to-market plans successful Define and align resources for product strategy deployment Supports and collaborates with Product Action Committee leader to drive cross functional product strategy execution Provides product strategy gap-closure needs into relevant technology/manufacturing/product roadmaps
YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, business field 10+years experience dealing with recorder and controller to process instruments
10+ years Chemical and Life Science industry experience
10+ years working as Instrumentation engineer, chemical engineer or electrical engineer with process instruments experience
MBA desired Extensive management experience with P&L accountability. Strong sales, branch management and operations experience. Industry experience, highly desired. Strong tactical and strategic skills required. Ability to motivate and build high performing teams. Process/systems and results orientated. Manages change through exploration and learning. Ability to provide reliable judgment in complex situations. Entrepreneur skills with record of exceeding objectives. Proven track record in product and programs management Strong business-to-business analytical skills, financial acumen, critical thinking and marketing skills MBA desirable, working knowledge business income statement basics is essential Strong background and knowledge of marketing processes, principles and tools, and a proven track record of successful new product planning and introduction Strong background with customers and proven ability to collaborate across product lines and technologies to develop joint strategies and roadmaps Proven ability to collaborate with functions (engineering / supply-chain / customer-support) to execute product plans and roadmaps Ability to think strategically and to scope tasks and set goals Ability to manage business and organizational vision by communicating a compelling purpose, driving change cross-organizationally, and inspiring and motivating people and organizations Knowledge of Process Instruments business allowing for innovative concepts and promotion of new ideas Strong written and presentation communication skills Green Belt Certification
