Operational Performance Manager




Role Summary
Utilizes specific industry knowledge of supply chain and production operations practices, processes and standards to design/create, implement and utilize value-added reporting/KPI's to support monitoring & improving performance of the overall supply chain operation (Internal & 3rd Party Service Provider). This includes analytical based understanding of key performance trends & patterns and identifying issues, root causes, and opportunities to improve overall operational effectiveness & efficiency. Operates with considerable latitude for independent judgment. Authority on contractual obligations (SLA's and KPI's) of 3rd party service provider. Provides influence and leadership to cross-functional operating teams, 3rd party service provider and internal customers enterprise and nationwide on ideas and solutions that impact business strategy and operating performance.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Manages optimal operational efficiency by monitoring performance levels, analyzing operational trends/patterns and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Manages design, calculation criteria, analysis & reporting of key operational data and KPI's. Translates analytical findings into business recommendations.
Manages identification, research, and resolution of operational performance variances.
Recommends operational efficiencies and process improvements and policy development to support change initiatives.
Manages development of comprehensive reporting tools and the data extraction/modeling of complex operational processes and systems (internal & 3rd party service provider).
Provides analytical support to supply chain and boundary partner executive leaders in accomplishing internal and organizational strategic and operational objectives
Provides oversight & review of 3rd party service provider SLA's & KPI's for contractual compliance and calculation completeness.
Interacts directly with 3rd party service provider's leaders and owners
Conducts quality assurance reviews of data for accuracy and completeness and assists and directs troubleshooting for data integrity.
Research best practices within & outside of the organization to establish benchmark performance comparisons.
Conducts meetings and presentations to various functional departments including Senior/Executive Leadership.

Qualifications:


Minimum

  • BS/BA degree in related discipline (Business, Supply Chain, Operations Mgmt).


  • 5 or more years of experience in performance & operations/vendor management.


  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management principals, functions, procedures & related systems (Oracle, ICOMS, Warehouse Management Systems - WMS).


  • Deep analytical & problem-solving skills.


  • Demonstrated history of developing performance measurement systems.


  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and reporting applications/tools (Oracle BI, Tableau, SQL, etc.)


  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, project management, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization


Preferred
Master's degree in a related discipline (Business, Supply Chain, Operations Mgmt)
Experience in the telecommunications industry
Experience/certification in project management
3 or more years of experience in a management role
