AWS Software Developer at Cornell Pump Company in CLACKAMAS, Oregon

Job Description:

Cornell Pump Company is preparing our first technological offering in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) arena.  We are looking for an AWS Software Developer with enthusiasm, broad exposure to different types of development tasks, and at least three years of office experience (not as an intern) to join our team for this years-long effort.  This position will support a wide array of services and features.


ACTIVIES AND DUTIES


We are looking for an individual interested in learning how to perform design and programming tasks in Amazon Web Services (AWS) in support of our primary project. This position will focus on AWS Lambda Functions, Relational Database Services (RDS), and Amazon’s DynamoDB data store. The successful candidate will join a well-formed and productive team implementing the components of a cloud-based system, focused on writing code to sustain our primary project and assist in the creation of new features.


 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE



  • 3 years minimum paid professional experience, not part of a school-sponsored program, and not including internships.

  • 2 years of programming experience in Python

  • 1 year of programming experience in SQL, MySQL, or Postgres preferred

USEFUL ADDITIONAL FAMILIARITY



  • Cloud development, Amazon Web Service (AWS) preferred

  • Object-oriented programming in any language such as Java or C#

  • Experience writing or consuming RESTful Interface services

  • Windows PowerShell script development

  • Web development with client-side JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)

EDUCATION


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer/Electrical Engineering or related fields
