I.T. Technician Job Summary
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Technician. You will join our field service team to service both new and existing locations. Job duties include installing new cable systems, troubleshooting current systems that are causing problems, and repairing voice and data cables when necessary. Your duties may include traveling to any LivWell location, installing electronic equipment, troubleshooting problems with existing equipment, testing connections, providing user instructions to coworkers, and cleaning up after the job is complete. You will usually respond to calls on your own, but some large jobs require you to work with a team of technicians. To ensure success as a Technician, you should have sound electrical and mechanical knowledge, be able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces for an extended period, have exceptional communication skills and a passion for customer service. Ultimately, a top-class Technician provides expert installation services and dedicated support to all coworkers. We prefer candidates who have at least one year of professional experience, but we are willing to train the right person.

Technician Duties and Responsibilities

Install, maintain, low voltage and internet systems
Pull, route, or label CAT5 or CAT6 cable
Install support structures, including cable racks, j-hooks, innerduct, and other related structures
Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly
Test and troubleshoot issues with network communication
Traveling to any LivWell place of business.
Installing electrical or computer equipment such as flat-screen televisions, projectors, routers, desktop computers, laptops, and tablets.
Suggesting areas where equipment should be set up and where cords should be placed.
Troubleshooting problems with existing equipment.
Testing old and new installation connections.
Providing customers with verbal and written operating instructions for new equipment.
Maintaining equipment.
Cleaning up after the job is complete.
Recording and maintaining stock levels.
Maintaining the work vehicle.
Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
Build positive relationships with co-workers
Supports operational and organizational missions by completing all tasks promptly and accurately.
General electronics troubleshooting

Technician Requirements and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience professional technician experience preferred
Familiar with industry tools and equipment
Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
Able to work at tall heights and lift 50+ pounds
Ability to solve problems and repair equipment on site.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to climb ladders.
Ability to crouch, kneel and work in confined areas for extended periods.
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
English literacy
Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions
Knowledge of techniques and standards for fiber-optic and Ethernet cabling
Self-starting multitasker who easily adapts to rapid change
History of sound judgment under deadline pressure
