Purpose
The Senior Accountant will support the company's financial record-keeping and reporting requirements and ensure compliance with US GAAP, corporate policies and procedures and common ethical practices. The Senior Accountant will work collaboratively as needed with Accounting and Operations team members and external advisors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assists with monthly and quarterly accounting close procedures including reconciliations, complex journal entries and financial analysis
Maintains general ledger and reporting structures to ensure information is accurately tracked, consolidated correctly and properly presented for internal and external reporting purposes
Reviews transactions, account balances and financial reports for reasonableness and accuracy. Investigates fluctuations and reports on accuracy of balances and transactions • Reconcile accounts to monthly close schedules as well as ad ad-hoc and analytics as needed
Support with annual external audit efforts
Work with the controller on the design and monitoring of the internal control system • Reconcile various general ledger accounts and propose journal entries • Review of monthly work-in-process and standard cost calculations for production • Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned
Challenge existing processes and streamline or develop new ones where appropriate to facilitate future growth of the business while driving value throughout the organization. • Develop and support sound relationships with internal groups (Purchasing, Grow Operations, Retail Operations, Human Resources, etc.)
Enhance and develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization
Perform other general accounting, financial or administrative duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
Knowledge of US GAAP knowledge required. CPA and public accounting experience strongly preferred
3-5 years of staff/senior accounting experience on a progressive career growth path. Cost accounting or manufacturing experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
System implementation experience preferred (Microsoft Dynamics)
Detail oriented, analytical, resourceful, self-motivated and independent with the ability to research issues and problem solve
Strong time management skills and ability to adhere to month-end close timelines. Comfortable managing multiple deliveries concurrently
Professional verbal and written communication skills

Compensation for this position is dependent upon experience and qualification. The Company provides health insurance, a 401(k), sick/vacation time off, and a variety of other company paid benefits. We are considering local candidates for this role. No relocation assistance is provided at this time. Background checks are part of hiring process.
