Position Description:
As the Global Director, you will lead AMETEK's global indirect procurement strategies and objectives to optimize costs on indirect categories with specific focus on MRO, services, parcel freight, and travel. Reporting directly to this role are global associates working from USA, UK, and India. You will ensure the Ivalua procure to pay system is maximized through user compliance, system optimization, and overall positive user experience through follow-up training, system upgrades, and monitoring system use reports. Additional responsibilities include managing AMETEK Conflict Mineral Compliance through outside services toward compliance objectives.

You will report directly to the Corporate Vice President of Strategic Procurement, with 5 direct reports.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop Strategic vision and strategy for Corporate wide savings, leading, negotiating, managing, and tracking Global and National contract solutions.
• Lead and develop commodity managers to negotiate and leverage corporate agreements within department strategy and vision
• Continue to optimize AMETEK indirect spend analysis and management from the various system inputs relentlessly pursuing continuous improvements and efficiencies
• Leverage inputs from 11 diverse Divisional needs prioritizing saving opportunities focused on Indirect Material Spend.
• Establish commodity priorities and robust Supplier identification, selection, and negotiation processes
• Champion and administer the Ivalua procure-to-pay system driving appropriate spend through the systems platform and optimizing spend within.
• Provide overall management for Conflict Minerals Reporting Systems.
• Optimize communication and data management across AMETEK North America seeking ways to provide meaningful information efficiently to end-users

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
• Strong negotiation skills and supplier management
• Experience in leading cross-functional global teams
• Superior analytical skills and data management expertise
• Relentless pursuit of continuous improvement balanced with the ability to effectively articulate and lead willing change throughout the organization
