Legal Recruiting Coordinator

Summary

The Legal Recruiting Coordinator assists the National Legal Recruiting Director with all areas of the legal recruiting program for the Chicago office. The position also assists with the planning and implementation of the summer associate programs as well as the on-campus interview programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

    Primary responsibility for coordinating follow-up with candidates
  • Assigns and tracks follow-up with candidates with offers

  • Coordinates recruiting events

  • Schedules callback interviews

  • Assists with law school presentations and programs

  • Coordinates summer events - calendar and budget

  • Coordinates follow-up with summer associates

  • Assists with developing recruiting materials and brochures

  • Assists with NALP surveys

  • Inputs data into and maintains Lawcruit database

  • Tracks applicant data

  • Maintains summer associate files and paperwork

  • Processes recruiting expenses as needed

  • Monitors Summer Associate work projects and assignments

  • Coordinates Summer Associate training and orientation

  • Coordinates arrival of Summer Associates including practice group assignments, office assignments, arrival and departure dates and mentors/supervising attorneys

Education and/or Experience:

Required:


  • Bachelor's degree

  • 2 years of recruiting experience in a law firm environment or equivalent education and work experience

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Prior experience with database management
