Under the direction of the Regional Human Resources Director and in partnership with the Campus President, the Sr. Safety Partner conducts activities to advance health and safety programs and objectives of the campus and promote compliance with local, State, and Federal codes and regulations. Such activities may be related, but not limited to general safety and health, COVID safety protocols. Responsibilities
Principal Accountabilities & Deliverables
Manages COVID intake process for staff and students; completes Contact Tracing process as appropriate, tracks progress and provides return to campus details
Verifies and tracks vaccination status for staff and student, analyzes and reports out on data
Coordinates with Home Office Covid response team, Benefits, and campus Student Services, on staff and student follow up action plans due to required quarantine/isolation.
Prepares and maintains necessary reports and records as required and provides updates to the campus and Home Office
Tracks and schedules safety drills and after-action reviews for campus personnel.
Partners with Home Office and campus Student Services to coordinate Clery/VAWA and DFSCA training, programing, and education.
In partnership with Home Office and campus, updates and maintains Emergency Management Plan (EMP), safety handbooks including Injury and Illness Prevent Program, CAL-OSHA programs
Partners with campus facilities to monitor monthly location safety inspections
Works with stakeholders to proactively develop and support health and safety programs at the campus, providing safety awareness and training.
Coordinates workers compensation injury claims at the campus.
Facilitates and/or partners with campus Safety committees (meetings and initiatives).
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Education / Experience
High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree a plus
OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Safety Certification (or equivalent) and/or COVID contact tracing certification a plus
1-3 years' experience with safety focus
