SUMMARY:
The person in this position assists the general manager with car hire. He or she interfaces with customers as well as the GW customer service, billing, commercial, and transportation teams. Maintains a good working relationship with external partners and internal groups, to improve the accuracy of accessorial billing, and expediting the time for processing of information and contracts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Review data for both car-hire payables and car-hire receivables
· Review daily, weekly, and monthly carload orders and inbound and outbound equipment flows
· Order cars for customers
· Perform car-order functions for customers and oversee customer shipment patterns
· Assign cars
· Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
· Strong customer service and organization skills
· Strong mathematical abilities
· Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access)
· Good oral and written communication skills
· Cross-cultural awareness
· Good decision-making skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:
· Valid driver’s license
· High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred
· At least two years of experience clerical or commercial business to business customer service experience.
