  • Utilize Lean, and other continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Develops, executes, and maintains Lean skills with leadership team to promote training and activities to others and support improvement.

  • Build relationships with relevant stakeholders in the working community.

  • Coordinates efforts with operations and other departments in identifying different improvement opportunities.

  • Develops, implements, and leads plant-wide team efforts in establishing and/or improving key performance indicators like manufacturing OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), product quality, waste reduction, process performance, supply chain efficiency, energy conservation, safety, and operating costs.

  • Reports to operations and other departments on post-activity results on project reports and conducts strategic planning meetings.

  • Prepare and report Lean activity updates for Leadership and keep teams apprised of Lean initiatives.

  • Performs analysis and develops value stream mapping and problem solving to establish and validate standards of the plant in order to troubleshoot and track work flows.

  • Working closely with operators on the plant floor and assessing production situations as they arise.

  • Photo taking of different plant areas in order to implement a more successful manufacturing setting.

  • Use Lean processes to execute waste management techniques

  • Document procedures to ensure adoption of best practices between departments.

  • Design and balance work cell flow using Lean principles and methods to increase productivity and reduce waste.

  • Other responsibilities and duties as they arise in support of the company.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time salary position, and hours of work and days are decided by production and your reporting General Manager.

Travel

Travel would be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day.

Required Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or

  • 1 or more years of experience in Lean Manufacturing role

  • Proven ability to create and deliver effective group presentation and training

  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Ability to promote and execute Six Sigma methodologies


  • CAD experience preferably AutoCAD

  • Experience in Supply Chain

  • Able to work in office and perform in corporation/business unit environments 50% of the workday.

  • Able to be assisting on the production floor 50% of the workday.

  • Ability to speak in front of and facilitate large groups effectively.

  • Upbeat personality and ability to express enthusiasm.

  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
