Front-End UX/UI Software Designer (DEA)

VSolvit LLC is seeking a Front-End UI/UX Software Designer/developer with broad skills in working to develop functional interfaces and representation of data flowing from our software development and BI team to the customer base. This program supports our DEA customer and requires the ability to champion and develop a functional and logical user experience for this high-profile information that is being self-generated by customer or provided by internal teams. The position requires knowledge of React, HTML, JavaScript, Lineto and FLASH. May perform user research, usability testing, or facilitate focus groups. May require familiarity with various graphic design software packages.

Responsibilities:

• Create intuitive, user-friendly user interfaces for custom web applications.


• Design new user interface components for a variety of mission-critical applications and enterprise reports.


• Provide expertise to meet 508 compliance standardization for DEA applications.


• Assist developers with web application wireframes


• Builds HTML templates/CSS frameworks for developers to build off.


• Build and enhance web application navigation and graphics.


• Develop web application style guides and design standards.


• Assist developers in creating storyboards, mockups, process flows and/or prototypes to illustrate web application


• functionality.


• Gather user interface design specifications from end-users and business analysts.


• Communicate technical requirements for web applications to application developers.


• Participate in scrum team activities and ceremonies.


• Participates in meetings, discussions and demonstrations of applications and associated data in the development of applications in the Classified, Unclassified, and Sensitive but Unclassified environments.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience/expert knowledge of web design standards.


• 5+ years' experience with HTML/CSS design.


• 4+ years' experience with version control systems such as MS Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Git.


• 3+ years' experience implementing and testing 508 compliance standards.


• Industry recognized UI/UX certifications.


• 3+ years' experience with JavaScript language.


• 3+ years' experience working with graphic design tools.


• 3+ years' experience with user centered design principles and web usability standards.


• 3+ years' experience using React JS or similar tools.


• U.S. Citizenship


• Secret Clearance REQUIRED


• Must be able to pass a DEA "Seatability" review

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years' frontend experience


• 5+ years' professional experience in data science and analysis


• 5+ years of software/web development experience.


• 5+ years' database experience


• 5+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies


• 4+ years React, VUE and C# experience


• 4+ years' Python, "R" or other scripting languages


• 2+ years of experience with Application or Enterprise Search with ElasticSearch.


• 2+ years of decoupled application development leveraging Message Queuing.


• Experience with data modeling programming and software development, including Python, R, or other high-level language used in statistical computing
