Job Description:

IES Commercial, Inc. - Commercial & Industrial Division, seeking full-time Apprentice Electrician / Helper for projects located throughout Nebraska and Kansas.

Job Summary

• Assist with construction and installation of street lighting, traffic signals and airport lighting.


• Properly mounts and installs assigned work conduit, wires, and strapping as directed.


• Assists in wire pulls and other duties as directed by supervisor.


• Works from all type of ladders.


• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.


• Travel required.

Qualifications

• 2 years' recent experience as apprentice electrician preferred.


• State electrical apprentice license or ability to obtain upon hire.


• Street lighting and traffic signal experience preferred.


• High School diploma/GED.


• OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.


• Ability to read/write/spell/compute basic math.


• Ability to work in special environments or special shift hours/mandatory OT.


• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.


• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check when applicable per customer contract requirement.
