Job Summary


NetApp is looking for a Software Engineer in Test with an interest in testing and the ability to innovate automated testing for our state-of-the-art storage solution. This role will impact the fundamental functionality and performance of our cloud storage products. More specific responsibilities include:


  • Participate in developing effective test strategies.

  • Design and develop reliable, scalable, and maintainable test automation using Python to validate complex storage features.

  • Communicate and collaborate with the engineering teams to develop automation processes and plans.

  • Diagnose, debug, and perform root cause analysis of issues and defects.


Job Requirements



  • The candidate should have an interest in product quality and test automation (get paid to break things!)

  • Strong programming skills in an object-oriented language, preferably Python

  • Linux experience

  • Effective communication skills via email, Slack, Zoom, etc.

Bonus


  • Experience with distributed systems and/or other products with a high degree of complexity

  • Testing experience

  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g. Jenkins)

  • Storage experience

  • Experience working within both Agile (i.e. Scrum) and traditional development frameworks


Education


Typically requires 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree.

If the Company determines this role will be performed in Colorado, the starting salary for this position is 98,550 USD. This role could be eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), Company bonus, and Employee stock purchase plan *. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors such as location, qualifications, certifications, relevant work experience and other factors, consistent with applicable law.
