Position Description:
AMETEK in Wilmington is searching for a strong Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. This position is responsible for the timely preparation of division financial reports, forecasting, budgeting and the strategic planning process. Participate in the assurance of GAAP compliant accounting practices accounting records.

This position reports directly to the Sensors & Fluid Management Systems Business Unit Controller.

• Lead position that directs and coordinates preparation of monthly forecast and annual budget process
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual financial consolidation and reporting for division .
• Assists in monthly closing activities and provide general accounting support along with SOX compliance.
o Revenue recognition including ASC 606
o I/C Balances between corporate and other
AMETEK divisions.
o Balance sheet reconciliations for select
accounts.
o Liaison with both internal and external auditors to
ensure timely and accurate compliance
• Provide various financial analysis as required (i.e. DCF, ROI, ROTC)
• Manage and direct financial analysis position including CAREER development support
• Report on key financial metrics (KPI’s) that are aligned with both short and long term goals. (Development on new KPI’s as required)
• Works with AMETEK finance network to drive process improvements.
• Partner with internal customers to provide various financial support including cross functional participation on key projects.

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting and/or Finance
• MBA preferred
• CPA preferred
• Demonstrated strong understanding of GAAP and Cost Accounting.
• Manufacturing Finance experience required.
• Seven to twelve years related experience and/or training, minimum five years as a manager and controller.
• Computer skills to include Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Hyperion Enterprise and Oracle experience a plus. Experience in Oracle implementations desired.
• Public entity experience with strong background in GAAP, SEC Reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance.
• Experience in a mid-size company.
• Prior experience in the acquisition due diligence process.
• A key requirement is the ability to be hands on with the ability to see the big picture.
• Prefer an individual with Government contract accounting, familiarity with Federal Acquisitions Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) highly desirable.
• Strong communication, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills, well developed problem-solving skills.
• Manufacturing Finance experience required, along with strong Business Partnership skills. Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Experience a plus.
• Well organized and self-directed with the ability to relate to all level of an organization. Attention to detail, very strong work ethic and high energy. Must be a team player. Ability to work in a matrix organizational environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure, multi task, prioritize and meet deadlines. Strong planning skills.
• Overall management for government compliance, customer billing and credit and collections and accounts payable and payroll.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff, set goals and objectives. Proven ability to select talent and develop subordinates.
