• Project Sourcing Manager, Flowery Branch (50%)

As a professional partner to SKF businesses, we participate throughout the complete value chain of sales, product development, sourcing and aftermarket processes. The position will be direct reporting to the Group Global Strategic Purchasing Manager for Steel Raw Material and dotted line to PL Purchasing Manager in Flowery Branch.

Expectations for the Project Sourcing part of the position:

• Execute and implement projects for the factory that require new suppliers and/or involve new products/services or new technology, and other agreed projects as assigned.

Expectations for the Category Manager part of the position:

• Development and management of new and present SKF's suppliers for steel and hot rolled rings to support the competitiveness of SKF's USA factories.

Responsibilities:

Category Manager SRM & HRR USA (50%)

• Develop local supplier base and implement the localization activities to build a world class supplier base in USA


• Implement agreed Category Strategies and the relevant tactics to achieve them


• Negotiate new contracts with suppliers


• Develop, analyze and communicate supply market analysis, purchasing scenarios and related commercial/legal information


• Searching, development of existing and new suppliers to ensure cost savings with high quality products and on-time deliveries


• Ensure that purchased products meet SKF requirements and a well functioning delivery process of purchased products to SKF Factories

• Drive and support implementation of cost reduction projects


• Drive and follow up on business development for new projects


• RFQ handling and Sourcing project running


• Manage Supplier Relationship Managements (SRM) for assigned suppliers

Project Sourcing Manager USA (50%)

• Contribute to work package definition, to deliver the planned project results & keep the time plan.


• Secure that suppliers project plans are aligned with SKF project plan.


• Secure suppliers are selected & contracted in time.


• Ensure SQA activities are performed at supplier locations; secure suppliers are PPAP approved to ensure zero defect from start.


• Work in close collaboration & alignment with the Global Category organization, with colleagues in the PLine PU organisations and with other GPU functions

Requirements:

• Willingness and the ability to travel frequently in USA.


• Bachelor's degree within relevant area or equivalent working experience


• Demonstrated experience and results in purchasing, sales or manufacturing


• Project Management experience


• Experience from Direct Material purchasing, Manufacturing, or Business Development is a plus

Desired Skills:

• Skills and experience within Purchasing area are strong advantages for the positions.


• Important technical understanding


• Commercial- and negotiation experiences


• Good system knowledge and analytical skills


• Ability to understand a supply market


• Excellent negotiations skills
