Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquarted in McKinney, TX. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of commercial vehicle parts and components sold under the Kenworth and Peterbilt brands. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company's truck divisions and PACCAR Parts distribution centers with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Louisville, KY and McKinney, TX.

Requisition Summary

This position is located in McKinney, Texas. The ideal candidate is one that is proactive in working with suppliers, customers, and production to ensure material availability, premium freight, and surplus and obsolete, and inventory turn goals are met. Fact-based decision making is a requirement for success.

Job Functions / Responsibilities


  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) in the design of standards and maintenance of all MRP settings.

  • Update and maintain all material forecasts based on demand and historical data.

  • Compile and review ABC analysis based on material cost and usage to gauge accurate planning methods to meet departmental goals and plant productivity.

  • Investigate root cause on shortage situations to ensure best stocking strategies.

  • Effectively communicate and coordinate changes with multiple departments and customers based on data driven solutions.

  • Lead and participate in continuous improvements which impact the materials department through lean and six sigma tool usage.

  • Create and review material department metric reports

Qualifications


  • Self-motivated, organized, flexible, and malleable to a consistently changing and developing environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation are required.

  • SAP Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) knowledge and experience strongly desired.

  • Knowledge of statistics, supply chain management, distribution practices, EDI, inventory management, and production environments strongly desired.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft office including Access required.

Education


  • Four-year degree in business administration, mathematics, supply chain management, or related field required.

  • 3-5 years material planning experience.
