The Junior Analyst in the Bunge Ventures group is a key member of the Bunge Ventures team. S/he will play a key role in managing the deal flow, evaluating startups and potential areas for investment, managing portfolio information, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and helping to drive the triple bottom line of investing at Bunge.
Core Functions:
Review prospect company's data rooms, financial projections and participate in company pitches on both active and passive pipeline companies including detailed notes preparation
Assist the venture capital team in performing initial screening, preliminary and deep dive due diligence on target and pipeline companies including detailed notes preparation as well as the deal flow management system
Develop robust & dynamic financial analysis to model investment trajectories, exit returns and others as required
Assist in drafting the investment memo
Conduct secondary research on specific areas of technology including market mapping and macro trends in the areas within the scope of BV's investments
Perform ad-hoc financial and other analysis on existing Bunge Ventures portfolio investments, as required
Creation and maintenance of procedures and internal documentation and assume ownership of operational tools and repositories, as required
Other activities as required, per the Bunge Ventures team
Skill/Experience Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors (Required) and/or Masters
Experience:
2+ years with previous experience in Food and Agri preferably in Venture Capital, Investment banking or private equity
Financial Modelling:
Expertise in DCF, valuation and other financial analysis. Expertise in Cap tables and scenario planning.
Technology:
Expertise in Microsoft office - Word, Excel, Power Point and other Enterprise tools
Others:
Driven, superior work ethic strong desire to learn, Diligent and an uncompromising attention to detail
Strong communication, planning and organizational skills - ability to deal with competing priorities, work-in a high-paced environment and communicate with the Senior Director, Bunge Ventures on a regular basis
