Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. Dynacraft performs assembly, light manufacturing and distribution for PACCAR truck plants and the aftermarket. Requisition Summary:

The Cost Accounting Lead position is located in McKinney, TX and will provide the ideal candidate the opportunity to work in a growing and dynamic manufacturing environment with exposure to professional growth and advancement. The position will provide the opportunity to gain exposure to management, including the Controller, General Manager, Operations Manager and other department managers. The position has a high potential for growth and requires an individual that will take initiative and be a self-starter.

Job Functions / Responsibilities:

• Participate in various month-end closing duties, including preparation of journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations and financial reports, and analysis of variance accounts


• Perform financial analysis, including budgeting and forecasting


• Perform monthly forecast, variance analysis, and cost roll related to purchase price variance and inventory revaluation


• Work closely with various departments, such as Materials, Engineering, Operations, and Master Data to ensure accurate costs and prices


• Ensure new product standard costs are developed timely and accurately


• Perform various product profitability and margin analyses


• Participate in team-oriented projects to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements


• Participate in implementing additional SAP functionality


• Assist in the facilitation of control activities related to inventory accuracy, including statistical inventory audits


• Assist in labor study updates and Bill of Material audits


• Assist in day to day pricing activities, including price generation and margin updates


• Assist in the semi-annual cost review


• Participate in year-end closing activities (i.e. prepare various 10K and tax schedules)


• Special projects as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

• Excellent analytical and technical accounting skills


• Excellent communications skills


• Strong leadership skills, emphasizing continuous improvement


• Attention to detail with a "strategic" focus


• Strong organizational skills required to manage multiple projects from beginning to end


• Deadline-driven and self-motivated


• Advanced MS Excel (charts, pivot tables, etc.) and Access skills


• ERP proficiency preferred


• Ability to work independently, handling multiple tasks and changing priorities while meeting non-negotiable deadlines

Education:

• BS/BA Accounting degree required


• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience required


• CPA or MBA preferred
