Dematic Corp. has aneed foraRegional Resident Maintenance Managerlocated in Memphis, TN. This role will be responsible for several resident sites and will manage and oversee several teams of Maintenance Technicians.
The Resident Maintenance Manager will manage and direct the day-to-day
performance success of the automated equipment for a specific site location.
Responsibilities include:
1. Acts as regional / local Dematic contact to the customer.
2. Lead, coordinate, and direct all functions and reporting personnel.
3. Deliver the business objectives.
4. Build capabilities of the overall maintenance team.
5. Reinforce the values of the organization.
6. Set an example and mentor all team members.
7. Perform at professional level to interpret/process more complex, less-clearly
defined issues.
8. Identify and resolve complex problems.
9. Define workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships to gain optimum effectiveness.
10. Evaluate and implement changes in methods or procedures.
11. Identify resource needs and develop justification.
12. Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
Tasks and Qualifications:
Education - Associates degree, Technical degree, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge/Qualifications:
1. Demonstrate and apply broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and
procedures for managed work group(s) and how to support related operations.
2. Demonstrate understanding and application of supervisory approaches for
work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action.
3. Possess 8-10 years of successful experience in a directly related field and
successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.
4. Possess experience with the following technical skills:
a. Electrical troubleshooting skills to include wiring, ac power, ac motors,
electrical drawings/schematics, and control panels
b. Servo drives, PLC, PC controllers, dc power supplies, optical devices
(i.e., encoders, photoeyes, etc.)
c. Knowledge of automated equipment; preferably automated material handling systems
d. Mechanical experience
e. Lean principles (4-Step Problem Solve, Kaizen, 5S, etc.)
f. Microsoft Office
5. Must be able to evaluate and analyze:
a. System/equipment performance data
b. Perform root cause analysis
c. Manage resolution of design-performance issues
6. Must be able to gauge, identify, and implement training based on skill
assessment results.
7. Must be able to manage KPIs and fault data using these methods:
a. Track and measure
b. Evaluate and analyze the data
c. Implement and direct improvement
8. Must be able to create reports and communication materials to track and
report performance issues.
9. Demonstrate continuous improvement of maintenance and operations of
MHE to the customer.
