Banquet Set-up Attendant at Caesars Entertainment in Elizabeth, Indiana

Job Description:

Job Summary: With a friendly, upbeat and positive attitude, the Set-Up Attendant provides set-up of meeting and banquet space as specified by the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and as requested by the Assistant Manager, Captain and/or Catering and Convention Services Manager.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Previous experience in a similar position preferred. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a team player. Must be able to work varied start times and shifts.

Essential Functions:


  • Sets up room, meeting space, convention center with banquet tables, side tables, chairs, bars, dance floor and equipment per instruction and Banquet Event Order (BEO).


  • Supplies Assistant Manager and/or Captain with correct amount of table linen, skirting, dinnerware and flatware to set the function.


  • Pulls requested amount of items needed to set buffet service line.


  • Understands and recognizes the separation and organization of items.


  • Handles appropriately and maintains items used for set-ups.


  • Maintains a neat, clean and organized, safe and comfortable environment for guests.


  • Follows up with Assistant Manager and/or Captain to ensure appropriate functionality and staging of room.


  • Adheres to all internal controls, policies, standards and procedures.


  • Understands performance expectations.


  • Other tasks and job related duties as assigned.


  • Provides courteous and friendly assistance to guests.


Works additional hours on short notice as requested by management to accommodate staffing emergencies, employee absences, fluctuation in business levels, special projects.

Qualifications:

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands :


  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, 6 - 8 hours.
  • Responds to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, twist, turn, push and pull, as well as lift and carry a minimum of 80 lbs.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to grab, grip, hold, tear, sort, stack and reach.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.

Must be able to work a varied schedule, holidays and weekends as requested.
