SUMMARY: Responsible for best-in-class user experience by leading the product design strategy for business unit needs.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the design and engineering of business unit product portfolio. Lead and grow the team of user experience and design. Advise senior leadership on product strategy, road map and investment plan. Develop, manage and communicate business unit budget plan. Manage vendors and engagement partners on product strategies and commercialization. Establish product design standardization benchmarks. Ensure timely and successful release of products and client services. Align product teams in adopting new design and user experience processes. Set up the Design Thinking process for all product designs and implementations. Drive UX research strategies based on business growth goals. Collaborate across the organization on product design. Monitor junior design staff and skill development. Evangelize Crowley technology in commercial and government conferences. Collaborate with business development and technology teams to conceptualize new solutions. Create an imagine fostering environment for digital logistics and marine products in the areas of virtual reality, augmented reality and metaverse.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in marketing, industrial engineering, business, transportation/logistics or a related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education. Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 10 years of relevant experience required.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project and MS Access. Customer Experience certificate preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to prepare, monitor and administer budgets, as well as the ability to perform financial analysis. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Ability to interface business applications with other systems. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trend, as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization. Ability to provide subject matter expertise, counsel, and effectively influence others at various levels within the organization. Knowledge of and ability to conduct need, trend, feasibility and performance assessments. Knowledge of the principles and practices of project planning, development and evaluation as well as the ability to meet project deadlines. Knowledge of and ability to apply the principles and practices to strategically align tasks and people with organizational goals and objectives. Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices and procedures. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles and practices of change management. Ability to mentor, coach, train and/or supervise employees.

JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.

FLSA STATUS: The position is Exempt. May require the ability to work overtime to meet required deadlines. All work rules, including those that pertain to safety and health are expected to be respected and complied with.
