HORNE is seeking a Payroll Clerk.  This position requires a high degree of accuracy, strong work ethic, a positive attitude, excellent verbal and written skills, strong computer skills and the ability to work well with others.


Job Duties:



  • Collect, compile, and enter payroll data using appropriate software

  • Update payroll records by entering changes including deductions, garnishments, and salary increases

  • Process payroll by established deadlines

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:



  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Solid data-entry skills

Experience:



  • 1-3 years of payroll experience preferred

  • High School Diploma Required

  • Experience working with tip reporting, multi-state payrolls, IRS letter responses, and garnishment calculations preferred
