Rauland is looking for an experienced software system architect working on embedded software. The candidate should also have experience with developing/integrating/debugging low level firmware. Develop and debug low level hardware component drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
Define product architecture for project. Create or review software architecture and detailed design documents
Contribute to all aspects of software development from design, implementation, test and release
Develop a verification plan with the verification engineers
Provide input into the standard operating procedures of the software group
Mentor the software engineering team
Provide design and verification documentation for FDA compliance (DHF)
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Engineering
7+ years experience creating formal architecture documents using UML or other language. Embedded software and/or firmware / software integrations involving software applications and nurse call systems within a hospital.
C, C++, Assembly
Strong technical skills in device drivers, communication protocols, microprocessor development tools
Software development processes, software dev/ops environment, ability to dissect a problem and form solutions that meet real-time constraints
