We are currently searching for a 1st Shift (7am - 3pm, M-F, occasional Saturdays) Maintenance Mechanic position to be based out of their South Holland, IL plant. The starting rate of pay is $22.10 per hour during the 60 day probationary period. After the probationary period, the rate of pay is $23.10 per hour. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for repairing, rebuilding and maintaining production and support machinery in the plant. They will also be carrying out preventative maintenance on plant machinery, basic repair/maintenance on tow motors, forklifts, cranes and conveyors.


The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of fork lift repair experience.


Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


High School Diploma or GED required.


Ability to read and interpret machinery drawing.


Repair of production machinery and other ancillary equipment (electrical and mechanical) including lift trucks.


Ability to understand and troubleshoot electrical wiring systems and familiarity with National Electrical codes.


AC/DC low and high voltage wiring.


Understand usage and selection of switches, relays, fuses, timers, starters, etc.


Capable of electric/gas welding.


Drive forklift when required.


Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.


Strong sense of time organization and sense of urgency, comfortable working in a fast paced environment.


Must pass a drug screen and physical.
