Join our team at the National Visa Center in Portsmouth, NH.

The Post Liaison is the principal point of contact between Lockwood Hills Federal and foreign consulates at the National Visa Center with respect to the processing of Immigrant Visa applications.  This individual is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communications with assigned consulates for the purpose of sharing information and resolving Immigrant Visa processing issues. The Post Liaison works with other contractor personnel processing Immigrant Visa requests to ensure that applications for Immigrant Visas meet requirements of the consulates. 

Essential duties and responsibilities for the position include the following:



  • Establishes and maintains effective communications and liaison activities with Foreign Service officers to resolve immigrant visa processing questions before they become issues.




  • Provides guidance to Visa Support Service employees on documentary and process requirements when preparing casework for transmission to consulates.




  • Tracks visa appointment scheduling to ensure that foreign consulates receive the volume of casework necessary to fill their interview slots.




  • Assists Unit Managers and the Assistant Operations Manager to ensure timely resolution of issues and identifies training needs for staff supporting document review processing.




  • Actively engages visa processors to ensure that they understand the requirements of individual foreign posts.




  • Maintains up to date knowledge of systems used in processing visa applicants such that this individual can assist consulates in responding to a broad array of processing questions.



Minimum Qualifications: 



  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.




  • High school degree or equivalent required




  • 2 to 3 years’ experience processing visa applications



  • In accordance with President Biden's Executive Order 14042, you must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements to infectious diseases such as COVID-19.  The Executive Order generally requires that all federal workers and federal contractor employees be fully vaccinated by December 8, 2021.
