IoT Manufacturing Lab Intern

Chubb’s Internet of Things (IoT) Center of Excellence leverages connected device technologies to reduce loss due to water damage and other causes in the enterprise, consumer, and connected home space. StreamLabs’ Control and Monitor product use patented and proprietary ultrasonic technology to monitor waterflow and alert property owners to potential water damage.  This directly benefits property owners, and advances Chubb’s strategy to offer best-in-class “predict and prevent” risk engineering services.

 

Scope:

Upon joining our team as an Internet of Things (IoT) Manufacturing Lab Intern, you will be helping to test and assemble IoT devices.  We are looking for a college student with a can-do attitude, attentive to detail, and who can follow directions to join us in our lab. 

Responsibilities:


  • Test electronics products by attaching mechanical fittings and starting automated test equipment.

  • Inspect and package final product after test to ensure quality and complete product contents

  • Frequent lifting of equipment and products (~5 pounds), occasional lifting of gear and equipment (up to 25 pounds)

  • Use Windows, Office, and custom software to run automated tests and log notes and information

Qualifications:


  • Work toward Degree or Certification in Technology or Engineering preferred

  • Prior internship experience or 2+ years of relevant work experience

Skills:


  • Knows how to use effectively use Windows Software

  • Detail oriented and able to follow directions meticulously

  • Collaborative working style and team-player attitude

  • Good hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity

  • Good organization and oral communication skills
