 If you are a REGIONAL SALES professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in Texas, Colorado, Louisiana, Oklahoma, or Utah you will be responsible for the sales growth of TESCOM Precision Fluid Control Solutions business in the assigned territory and/or special market. Other responsibilities include the identification, development, and capture of all market opportunities; to perform market assessments, identify potential customers, and developing and management of sales channel organizations. This position will be remote in one of the states listed above. AS A REGIONAL SALES MANAGER, YOU WILL: 

  • Manages Sales Channel - Develops and maintains customer direct sales, distributor, and representative organizations within established geographic and product/market parameters. The position will also lead and direct the sales channel network by providing product and application training, assistance in the development of accounts, make customer sales calls both directly and with distributor/representative, follow up on all Sales objectives and Marketing department directives; selects, trains and evaluates all responsible sales channel organizations to ensure that they meet or exceed all sales objectives.
  • Market Knowledge - Gathers and disseminates market information to Marketing Department and within Sales Team regarding regional economic conditions, trends in market activity and technology, changes in customer behaviors, growth opportunities, and competitor actions.  This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining expertise in assigned industrial markets.  This will entail gaining an understanding of the markets’ dynamics, including trends and drivers, customer behaviors, end-user applications, primary customers, and competitive activity.  The information learned will be communicated to Marketing and within the Sales Team.

  • Promotional StrategiesSupports the development of promotional strategies to provide increased Tescom visibility and market penetration.
  • Continuing Education - Preserves professional and technical competence by pursuing related continuing education.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel greater than 50% of the time.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in the selling of industrial products and/or management of industrial sales channel organizations.
  • Demonstrated practical skills to accurately work with numbers, formulas, and calculations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a cooperative and team-oriented environment.
  • According to Government Regulations, all employees in this job classification must be a US Citizen or permanent resident of the United States.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process.
