Howmet has an immediate opening for a Material Handler at our Fontana, CA location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.
Removes and weighting chip bags and bins
Loads and unloading trucks
Set up parts in designated areas to prepare for processing
Band parts and chip bags
Identifies and ensures that the correct parts are placed in the designated order
Identifies different marking instructions and use a vibropeen to mark parts correctly and legibly.
Assists machine operators and Leadman with general duties as requested to support the smooth operation of the machines
Reports any problems observed to supervisor/leadman whether they are related to storage and placing of parts or machine malfunctions, etc
Produces daily production reports as directed by supervisor/leadman
Must have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions.
Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety, and procedures.
Schedule :
2nd Shift Monday-Friday 1 pm-9:30 pm must be available to work on Saturdays when needed. Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
2 years of related experience
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift Certified
Must possess computer literacy skills to include Microsoft Word & Excel and the ability to utilize ERP software in the performance of daily work.
