Senior Accountant at Firmenich in Princeton, New Jersey

Job Description:

We have an immediate opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join the Finance team based in Princeton, NJ. TheSenior Accountant supports the Finance Manager in the areas of Financial Reporting, General Ledger, Analysis and Reconciliations, Audit, and Internal Controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly journal entries, supporting documentation and accruals


• Coordination and support of monthly closing process


• Coordination of all Customer rebate accruals and payment processes


• Responsibility for understanding and explaining account fluctuations and analytical review of operational expense trends


• Ensure transactions are properly authorized and are in accordance with Group policies


• Oversight of Fixed Asset reporting and Construction-In-Progress processes, Bank reconciliation process and Intercompany reconciliations


• Coordination of all Customer rebate accruals and payment processes


• Provide assistance with annual Audit requests from external auditors


• Provide assistance with annual Budgeting process

We value:

• SAP, or other large ERP experience

• Manufacturing experience


• International company experience


• Multi-subsidiary (Intercompany accounting)


• CPA track candidate


• Public/Private mix background

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting


• 3-5 years experience in a similar role


• General Ledger/Financial Reporting experience


• Mid to large Corporate accounting experience


• Intermediate to Advanced level Excel/Word/Powerpoint
