We are looking for a Product Manager to oversee Berlitz Flex, a flagship product that drives significant value for the business. Berlitz Flex helps busy learners speak a language fluently by combining online self-paced activities, one-on-one coaching with instructors and AI.


The Product Manager (Flex) will play the central role within the business to ensure the product is successful, working with engineering, content development and other cross functional teams to deliver on the product roadmap as well as being responsible for developing new products under the Flex product portfolio.


Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Customer Experience, the Product Manager (Flex) will also assist in building out the Product Management discipline at Berlitz, helping to create the infrastructure, processes and best practices that will serve as the foundation for all digital learning product development and management across the Berlitz portfolio.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Roadmap: Define and deliver a customer-centric product strategy and roadmap for Berlitz's online products, specifically for Berlitz Flex


  • Product development: Own and drive new product development by working cross-functionally between product, engineering, content development and instructional support teams


  • Research: Deeply understand the customer learning journey through research to incrementally improve the product, the learning experience, and the overall customer experience


  • Technology: Deliver a scalable product platform that not just meets current needs, but considers future growth scenarios


  • Project management: Use agile methodologies to write user stories, plan and drive the software development of features by collaborating with engineering teams


  • Communication: Manage and communicate dependencies, updates and timelines with teams across the world including regional sales, marketing and operations teams.


  • Deliverables: Prioritize between new features, bug fixes and architectural improvements


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:



  • 3+ years of product management experience, with preferred experience building external customer facing applications, educational products preferred

  • Clear understanding of critical path and core project management concepts.

  • Experience using Agile/Scrum/Sprint methodologies including sprint planning

  • Ability to successfully work with cross functional individuals and teams including engineering, UX/UI, finance, content development, customer support, sales and marketing, and regional operations

  • A deep understanding of digital technologies used to develop real-time web sites and mobile applications

  • Very effective communicator, good at arbitration and quickly gathering consensus within project teams spanning a breadth of disciplines

  • Exceptional influencing skills, with the ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders from senior executives to individual contributors.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Analytical skills and experience using data to drive decision making

  • Thrive in fast-paced environments and value product quality and business impact



  • A desire to make the world a better place through education and technology



  • Preferred: Digital learning products experience


WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:



  • Report to Senior Vice President of Customer Experience

  • Ensure constant collaboration with the Learning Experience team

  • Collaborate directly with Project Management team

  • Collaborate directly with Global Platforms team

  • Collaborate directly with the Marketing team

  • Communicate with regional representatives


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Little to no travel is required for this position. Occasional training or staff meeting will take place at Princeton Headquarters, not to exceed 5% of the time.


ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.


WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, servers, video calls on multiple platforms, and headsets.
