Include doing psychiatric evaluations and follow ups, reviewing labs, monitoring blood levels, medication management, preparing discharges (physician orders, scripts).
Provides support and resources to the clinical staff as needed.
Coordination with clinical staff and the primary care physician when appropriate.
Ensuring clients are prescribed ample medications at discharge.
Responsibility to coordinate and complete the peer review process.
Coordination with the collaborating psychiatrist for medication and treatment of the client.
Other duties as assigned.
Technical Competencies: Strong clinical program able to effectively meet the needs of the client, positive relationships with internal and external customers, adult residential programs are fiscally responsible and contributing to the success of the corporation.
Education, Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Psychiatric Medicine.
Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
Awareness and understanding of regulating bodies (CARF, Office of Mental Health, DDAP) strong background in Psychiatric or D&A and Co-Occurring Disorders, knowledge of HIPPA laws, state licensing regulations, trainings as required.
Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
