Job Summary
The Intensive Supports Supervisor provides services to Hope support recipients through ensuring
all Intensive Supports environments meet mission critical targets in assigned Agency operated
Assisted Living Homes (ALHs), natural home environments, and family habilitation
environments; and is responsible for the quality of care of the support recipients who reside
within them. The Intensive Supports Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the provision of
intensive behavior supports for specialized populations including those that require line of sight
supervision and monitoring for the safety of themselves and others, and those that present with a
variety of intense behaviors due to co-occurring diagnoses. This position ensures the provision of
services and supports to individuals as outlined in the Plan of Care, Treatment Plan, Risk
Management, and other support documents utilizing strategies in alignment with organizational
culture and the management and service philosophy of Hope. This includes ensuring the services
address the health and safety needs of the support recipients and provide positive learning and
inclusion opportunities. This position is responsible for teaching, coaching, and mentoring
designated Behavioral Health employees working in Intensive Support environments. The
Intensive Supports Supervisor maintains loyalty to the organization, its beliefs, values, mission,
vision, and expectations, and to the recipients of services.

Essential Job Duties
1. Ensures effective management through the direct supervision of Behavioral Health Home
Alliance Coordinators (BH-HACs) and Lead Behavioral Health Associates (LBHAs).
Provides direct assistance with the management of shift staff homes. Ensures appropriate
allocation of Agency resources. 
2. Develops the leadership and administrative skills of BH-HAC’s and Lead BHA staff
through teaching, coaching, and mentoring, to ensure the delivery of quality services
provided in Intensive Supports environments.
3. Develops and supports BH-HACs and Lead staff to onboard, supervise, develop,
evaluate, council, and discipline staff.
4. Educates intensive supports staff members on the most recent risk management
assessment and support plans for each support recipient to ensure understanding and
implementation.
5. Schedules staff in alignment with services delineated in the Plan of Care, behavioral
support plan, treatment plan, risk management plan and/or other support plans. Ensures
coverage for emergency situations and facilitates coverage for BH-HAC and LBHA
vacant positions and personal leave use. Utilizes designated computer programs for
scheduling and communicating schedules.
6. Conducts home visits for each environment at a minimum of two times per month to
review service delivery, provide training, and complete appropriate documentation
associated with home visits.
7. Participates in Support Team Meetings and ensures adequate and appropriate home
management including upkeep to Agency and community standards.
8. Monitors, reviews, and ensures accurate and timely submission of service documentation.
Monitors service utilization and goal progress for support recipients and implements
corrections as necessary. Audits documentation to comply with Agency standards.
9. Verifies and approves timecards, Personnel Leave Forms, and other paperwork
completed by supervised staff in order to ensure that paperwork is correct and
appropriate.
10. Completes and processes Agency documentation within required timelines. Regularly
reviews and/or quality assures documentation to comply with Agency standards.
11. Supports BH-HAC and Lead staff by ensuring completion of Hope’s adopted Service
Review and Recommendation goal development process.
12. Ensures alignment between the support recipients’ goals, objectives, and desired
outcomes. Knows each support recipient’s Plan of Care, behavioral support plan,
treatment plan, risk management plan and/or other support plans.
13. Ensures all services are provided in a cost effective manner and in alignment with
relevant local, state, and federal regulations and complies with mandatory reporting
responsibilities.
14. Maintains frequent positive communication with all team members including Care
Coordinators, Behavior Analysts, Direct Support Professionals, therapists, 
parents/guardians and others in order to ensure the delivery of services and supports to
support recipients and to provide a positive work environment for all staff.
15. Coordinates with the Licensing Specialist for licensing of Assisted Living Homes to
ensure ongoing compliance with licensing regulations. Ensures vehicles and homes are
in good condition, and checklists and maintenance schedules are followed.
