POSITION DESCRIPTION: Develops code; analyzes, researches, and resolves system issues. Responsible for medium-to-complex user stories encompassing complex feature development and service requests with broad impacts to more than one application or system. Identifies process and technical deficiencies and offers solutions to resolve. Provides mentorship to Associate and Mid-Level Developers; provides limited mentorship to other Senior Developers on Pega-related areas of expertise. Identifies best practices and participates in creation of Organizational Standards. Articulates obstacles. Creates and maintains application documentation. Participates in design reviews and code reviews. Participates in on-call rotation. Attends daily standups. Communicates and works with team members/Business to understand requirements and identify application impacts. Creates individual work plans, specifications and programs with guidance utilizing development procedures and standards.


 


 


Requirements: Master’s* degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Two (2) years related experience as a Manager-Technology, IT Analyst or related IT occupation. Experience is required and must include: Managing rules, rulesets, and leveraging the Enterprise Class Structure (ECS) to promote rule reuse between case types and applications; Implementing complex business logic using decision trees, decision tables, map values, build activities, flow actions, reports and SLA rules using PEGA Rules Process Commander; Integrating applications with different systems utilizing SOAP and REST protocols over JSON/XML; Adhering to PEGA best practices following PEGA guard rails for application creation while maintaining overall application development health score for coding; and Designing UI and portals using advanced features of composite portals & customizing portal features using HTML or java script. *The employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ of experience in lieu of a Master’s degree and 2 years’ experience.  100% work from home permitted due to the pandemic. Employee’s primary residence must be in New York State.
