SUMMARY:

The IT Digital Supply Chain Team is the IT Engine that builds the strategy and delivers compelling and robust capabilities, products, and solutions to Kimberly-Clark’s business and IT by focusing on cost savings, business growth, as well as connecting with partners and customers. As part of this team, the Solution Engineer is responsible for integrating business, information, and technology architecture to create solutions for Customer Collaboration and cross capability areas such as Planning. This role is viewed as an expert in complex analytics and application environments, encompassing both business process understanding and technical expertise. This person is a leader in developing innovative, technical solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operating problems. This role requires someone with a strong knowledge in business and technical functions that are touch points within SAP S4 and across Sales and Supply Chain. The person in this role is a source of Thought Leadership, experience and guidance for Kimberly-Clark’s global program and for other team members.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 


  • Strategy and IT Delivery for Analytics in the Customer Collaboration area.

  • Accountabilities across multiple functional and technical analytical areas with wide range of complexity. Technical architect and leader of projects for the Customer Collaboration capability or across multiple capabilities.

  • Translates non-functional and functional requirements into end-to-end analytical solution designs, ensuring solution aligns with business goals and processes, uses and provides enterprise information consistently, integrates effectively with other applications, supports a common application environment and user interaction model.

  • Collaborates with other Solution Engineers and Enterprise Architecture to make sure that solutions fit within enterprise context and aims for standardization of solutions across K-C’s application landscape.

  • Coordinates medium to complex solution architecture implementations while leading design variances based upon business needs while ensuring artifacts are documented in enterprise architecture repository.

  • Coordinates engagements with vendors as they relate to evaluation, design and delivery of business capabilities. Contributes to the evaluation and selection of software product standards.

  • Participant in industry representation, policy formation, User Groups, and strategic direction.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years of continuous experience in software engineering, software development, solution architecture.

  • Proven hands-on delivery experience in Retail and Supply Chain Analytics. 

  • Functional and Technical delivery expertise in SAP (ECC and S/4 HANA) within Sales/Distribution and Supply Chain.

  • Understanding of technical and functional aspects within Data and Analytics, strong in strategy with ability to do hands-on technical work whenever needed.

  • Strong leadership skills and exhibit creative thinking to be able to come up with inventive solutions to solve business challenges.

  • Understanding of how to coordinate the flow of work between agile teams and more traditional project-based teams. 

  • Experience working with blended teams consisting of employees, vendors, and consultants with both onshore and offshore resources.

  • Strong Technical leadership of Application Development teams and vendors; Cultivates networking opportunities within the organization.

  • Proven knowledge about performance engineering, application and integration architecture using API Microservices, and Information Architecture modelling and design.

  • Holistic IT background, including security, infrastructure, application, information management.

  • Experience collaborating with Enterprise Architects and infrastructure engineers to identify, design, and implement highly complex, end-to-end solutions.

  • Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory. Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines.
