Corporate Accounts Manager at PPG INDUSTRIES INC in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Are you passionate about managing national accounts? As the Corporate Accounts Manager your focus will be developing relationships with all commercial corporate account decision makers and negotiating favorable agreements to use PPG Paints products! You will play a strategic role in driving national agreements with customers in the Hospitality, Retail, Education, Healthcare, Recreation, Commercial Property Management and Amusement segments to increase market share with current customers and grow market share with new business.
Key Responsibilities


  • Drive new business sales with corporate accounts and achieve annual sales targets
  • Drive corporate account sales through PPG stores, dealers and Home Depot with the support of PPG field personnel.
  • Identify new/increased sales opportunities, establish and maintain key partner relationships in effort to build strategic account partnerships and defined programs - emphasis should be to improve share and revenue potential with a goal of supply exclusivity
  • Develop the sales strategy to identify, prioritize and target the high potential accounts within target segments
  • Cultivate, develop and maintain multi-level account relationships to drive growth in defined corporate categories - be sure to establish and maintain at customers senior level
  • Analyze financial data on a regular basis, with the ability to determine and evaluate the need for change to drive financial gains
  • Implement necessary cost controls, price increases, execute on growth plans and strategies through all channels, lead established pricing policies to improve sales and margins
  • Maintain accurate records on all accounts and prospects including contacts, call activity and account specs, pricing, colors, reporting requirements, etc.
  • Input account, projects and manage customer information in the CRM system
  • Build and negotiate sales agreements with customers
  • Ability to work with and influence multiple levels of our organization and the customers' organizations
  • Develop in-depth knowledge and expertise of PPG products, sundry products and application/installation methods
  • Develop launch plans and coordinate program launches with field sales managers and sales reps fully defining their roles and requirements on projects
  • Implement all Corporate Account programs to field sales stores organization and participating dealers including spec, local targets, color and pricing information within assigned geography
  • Travel in defined region and/or nationwide to call on current and prospective strategic account customers - focus segments include, but are not limited to retail, healthcare, hospitality, governmental and other related commercial segments

Qualifications

  • Paint or coatings experience preferred
  • Minimum of three years of sales experience required, three years of corporate account sales preferred with a proven track record of success
  • Strong orientation to new business development
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient written communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and web based applications
  • Possess financial acumen (Understanding of financial statements, customer contribution and financial drivers at customer)
  • Flexible schedule (some evenings and weekends required) and ability to travel extensively (>50%)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred
