PHP Software Developer at Cash-Wa Distributing in Kearney, Nebraska

Job Description:

This is a newly created position with excellent medical insurance benefits; only $12.70 bi-weekly for an employee only plan, and $36.15 for a family plan.

The initial and primary responsibility for the new PHP developer will be to create interfaces between I-Series DB2 databases and various third-parties who do business with Cash-Wa.  As the position develops will also be working with additional data sources to help create an environment that consolidates data between Cash-Wa’s various systems into a platform that can provide unified interfaces and reporting for all divisions of the company.  May also develop web facing applications from end to end.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES –

• Codes, debugs, documents, deploys and maintains new software programs in a highly efficient and effective manner.


• Maintains and modifies existing applications.


• Participates in problem analysis and system design as requested.


• In the absence of an application architect or on projects that are less complex, gathers customer requirements and specifies functionality.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.


• 1-2 years experience/knowledge with each of the following: PHP, SQL & Linux.

• Must have strong logic skills, be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; and demonstrate well-developed problem solving skills.


• Must demonstrate excellent time-management, prioritization, attention to detail and organization skills.
