: Provides indirect patient care under the supervision of the Director of Dietary & Lead Cook. The Dietary Cook is responsible for providing exceptional nutritional services to our clients, while taking pride in proper sanitation and service. The associate must prepare and ensure meals are followed according to approved menus by our Director of Dietary & Dietitian and follow posted recipes. The Dietary Cook is to provide exceptional service to detail and presentation of the food we serve our patients.

• Ensures proper cooking methods are used when preparing food for patients


• Ensures use of proper portion prepared food items for daily operations, follows recipes at varying levels of difficulty, and follows cooking procedures to such that meals are ready at the correct temperature and time


• Informs Dietary Director & Lead Cook on needed food items that are out or running low.


• Performs duties as a cook and other duties as assigned


• Has the ability to prepare food on plates and trays in accordance with dietary needs of our patients


• Prepares and delivers food and supplies to proper locations throughout the facility


• The associate must act professionally, be well groomed and offer exceptional teamwork


• Assists with deep cleaning and kitchen maintenance is regularly performed

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Current Tulsa County food handler permit


• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing


• Excellent interpersonal skills
