Summary: We are seeking a motivated Entry to Jr. Level Geologist, Environmental Scientist or Engineer to assist in growing Tetra Tech's Texas environmental business. Candidate must be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a professional and team-oriented environment. Candidate must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload and travel as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication, client interaction and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with MS Office applications required.

Your Role: Tetra Tech is seeking an Entry to Jr. Level Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our Houston, Texas team to provide support on various environmental projects throughout Texas. This position will support a variety of contracts, including commercial energy clients. Duties will include:

• Serve as primary field staff on a portfolio of environmental projects. Field work will include but is not limited to directing the installation of soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells, overseeing excavation projects, directing spill responses, groundwater/soil sampling, and site inspections.
• Prepare maps, charts, boring logs, cross-sections depicting subsurface conditions
• Develop work plans and reports for various types of investigations and environmental site assessments and remediation projects.
• Industrial hygiene focused inspections/assessment including waste auditing, hazardous materials reporting, biohazard/toxicological inspections (Mold, Asbestos, Lead-Based Paint), and noise monitoring.
• Task management and subcontractor oversight
• Prepare health and safety plans / job hazard analyses and follow company / site safety standards
• Will require extensive outdoor work as well as extended overnight travel

• BS degree or equivalent in any of the multi-disciplined environmental sciences or geologic sciences required.
• Zero to three years experience in the environmental industry or related environmental consulting experience.
• Previous experience or education with site investigations, remediation, and field sampling or similar experience is beneficial.
• Must possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Must also be highly motivated, customer focused and work well in a team environment.
• Must be able to drive and pass a motor vehicle records check.
• Possess a valid driver's license, be drug-free, pass pre-employment drug screening
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel also preferred.
