The Application Support Analyst is responsible for working with assigned internal clients to assist them in achieving their business objectives through the effective development and support of business applications. Key responsibilities include support of assigned applications, obtaining specs for new application needs, implementing applications, and supporting and testing existing applications for various issues and updates. This position will support applications focused on payment channels and serve as backup and support for other core banking applications (e.g., deposit and loan applications.) This role requires strong communication and critical thinking skills to successfully collaborate with others in IT and the line of business on a wide range of projects. Experience in banking operations (ACH, Item Processing, deposit operations) is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with internal clients to develop application specifications to meet business objectives.


• Meet with internal clients to develop plans for data mapping of new systems or changes to existing systems, processes, interfaces and reports.


• Tests new releases and systems, as well as changes and fixes to existing systems, to ensure effective implementation.


• Communicate application problems/issues and planned resolution to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users and unit leaders.


• Prepare documentation of changes for SOX, audit and other regulatory agencies.


• Identify and learn appropriate software applications used and supported by the organization.

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred


• 1 - 3 years' experience in banking or IT; understanding of the ACH process and/or banking transaction codes preferred


• Ability to travel and stay overnight as needed


• Tier III and Sr. Analysts must possess applicable certificates in technology and data mapping


• PC/Microsoft Office experience required


• Broad knowledge and familiarity with multiple programming languages


• Strong verbal and written communication skills
